Do you remember the COVID-19 -20 Time, when everyone was running here and there to fight for his/her life? When all of us lost one or another of our near or dear people. Still, now we are left with grief, loneliness, heaviness in the heart inside, and so much fatigue outside. We all are also experiencing anxiety here and there, and now we have come to know the true value of our lives. Do you wonder why? Because we all have experienced nearly a death-like experience in our life, by the name of COVID-19 and 20 both.
Not only we have seen deaths so closely, but we have also seen a few people who were very uncertain about their lives, however miraculously recovered from it very easily. The only option left to believe us was this was God’s act. There is a supreme power who is protecting us and our loved ones. And this is the right time to offer a prayer to the gods to say thank You and request their blessings to protect us.
“ऊँ त्र्यंबकम् यजामहे सुगंधीम् पुष्टी वर्धनम्।
उर्व्वावरूक मिवबंधनान् मृत्योर्मुक्षी यमामृतात्।।”
Mahamrityunjaya Mantra” is a very powerful chant. People think that this phrase is so strong that it can save your life when you are about to die. When you repeat this phrase over and over, it surrounds your body with divine protection. Now, even scientists agree that mantras work and that repeating them makes waves at certain levels that are good for people and their bodies. The Mahamrityunjaya Mantra is a prayer to Lord Shiva, who made the universe. We ask him to protect us from bad forces, pain, sorrow, and the circle of life.
As people, we are all made of energy, and our feelings and the emotions of others are ways that we constantly receive and send energy into the world.
We may be able to control our feelings, but not the feelings of other people. Now, when someone or more people think badly of us, their feelings send bad energy our way. When this bad energy comes into our bodies, it breaks through our protective shield and makes us less strong. Negative energy can easily attack and cause us problems when our body’s defense system is weak.
Because of this, it is very important to protect ourselves from the bad feelings and vibes of other people and our surroundings. A strong good aura around our bodies can help us do this. Regularly repeating the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra can help us do this. This chant is very helpful even just to listen to it.
Chanting the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra sends out waves that kill all the bad energy in the world and our bodies. The happy air around our bodies gets even stronger with this phrase, and we start to bring good things into our lives. This phrase is so strong that repeating it regularly can help people who are sick with many fatal diseases.

Story Behind Mahamrityunjaya Mantra
The story of Kalantaka Shiva:
As per one ancient story, sage Mrikandu rishi and his wife Marudmati were devout followers of Shivji and requested Him for a child. He presented them with a dilemma: either a kid who is average and has a long lifespan, or an exceptional son but with a limited lifespan. The Rishis selected the exceptional son, therefore determining that he would live until the age of 16. From a young age, Rishis instructed Markandeya, their son, in the devotion of Lord Shiva. The very intelligent child quickly grasped everything. At the age of 16, when it was his time to die, he was engaged in the act of worshiping Shivji and reciting the Mahamritynjaya Mantra. Yamraj attempted to seize the young rishi, but Shivji materialized and engaged in a battle against death on behalf of His disciple. Ultimately, Shivji triumphed and bestowed eternal life onto the little lad. Shivji is referred to as Kalantaka because he put an end to or halted death. Be noted that, this kid further wrote a Nobel Grantha known as “Devi Bhagwat”, from which we recite “Chandi Path or Durga Saptashati”, a treasure of 700 shlokas, which can change anyone’s fortune.
Story of Mata Sati and Chandrama:
According to another Story, Mata Sati was familiar with this chant. Once, King Daksha became enraged with the moon (Chandra) and placed a curse upon it. The Moon was in a deteriorated condition and experiencing pain as a consequence. Mata Sati bestowed the mantra onto the moon, who attained tranquility as a result. Subsequently, Shivji took hold of the moon and placed it inside his hair. As these are the Puranic legends that explain the origin and importance of the Mantra, I recommend everyone to chant this Mantra.

Personal Experience with this Mantra:
I have several experiences with the Puja/Abhishekam and Hawan of Lord Shiva. One of them I am sharing with my readers. This mantra is considered amazing. Once I was suffering from breathlessness, dizziness, and vertigo, and after performing ECGs and other tests, the reports were normal. The doctor only gave medicines for anxiety and a few vitamin supplements, but I did not get any good results. I did Rudrabhishekam along with Maha Mritunjay Mantra Jaap, and Hawan of Mata Amriteshwari devi with some specific Homa ingredients. To my surprise, next day morning all my dizziness, breathlessness, and vertigo were gone, and, I did not have any such kind of health issues.
