Kaal Sharp Dosha Puja

In astrology, we consider Rahu, the head part of a snake, and Ketu, the tail part of the snake, as a phenomenon that governs bad deeds. Since they are head and tail parts, Ketu will always be found in the seventh house exactly from that of Rahu (considering Rahu’s house as the first). Further, except Rahu and Ketu, all other planets are considered moving in clockwise direction.

If you happen to see Rahu first, and having Ketu in the seventh house, with all other planets between them, in counterclockwise direction, it’s considered as Kaal Sarp Dosha.

I have seen very bad effects of Kaal Sarp Dosha in individual’s life. They struggle a lot in their personal as well as professional Life. They can be easily affected by the evil eye. I have seen Mother or Father, or Elder Brother/Sister’s having short lifespans, one who have Kaal Sarp Dosha in his chart. Hence they become more mature at an early age.

Nag Dosha Due to Murdering of Unborn Child:

One more important observation, I would like to discuss here, is that if any couple has doing abortion, they will definitely suffer from Sarp Dosha. The only remedy of this kind of Dosha is to give birth to the second child, and do Rudrabhishekam, and Shri Vishnu Sahatranaam Abhishekam and Hawan for at least 5-10 years on a quarterly basis for this kind of worst sin.

Similarities of Kaala Sarpa Yog:

  • Many Yogas [combinations] in Jyotish give results similar to those attributed to Kaala Sarpa Yoga :
  • If Lagna or Chandra is in the Nakshatra of Rahu or Ketu (Ardra, Swati, Shatabhisha, Ashwini, Magha, Muula).
  • If Rahu is with ShaniMangala, or Chandra.
  • If LagneshPanchamesha, or Saptamesha is associated with Rahu.
  • If there are a lot of retrograde Grahas in the chart.
  • If Rahu occupies the 8th Bhava from Lagna (especially in conjunction with Shani).
  • If Rahu is in Lagna, 2nd, 5th, 7th or 8th Bhava.

Remedies of Kaal Sarp Dosha:

There are three steps to subsidise the effect of Kaal Sarp Dosha. One is to recite Durga Saptashati Path, and Hawan, which is commonly known as Shri Chandi Path, at home or any SidhdhPith or Shiv Lingam, along with Rudrabhishekam, and Shri Vishnu Sahastranaam Path and Abhishekam. One should do this Anushthan in every 3-4 Months to get relief and blessing from the God. You have to perform it for 5-10 Years, if you have done an abortion.

Rudrabhishekam is one of the most simplest way to please Lord Shiva, who is also the Lord of Snakes.

Rudrabhishek with Milk, Yogurt, Honey, Basm, and various herbs along with Ganga Jal is a form of worshipping Lord Shiva in his Rudra avatar, in which a Shivalinga is bathed with all above ingredients constantly poured over the deity, along with chanting of Vedic mantra called the Rudra Sukta also referred to as Rudri Paath. Rudri Paath is a set of 8 chapters of Vedic shloka/mantras, together known as Rudrashtdhyayi.

People who can not recite Rudrabhishek, can do Abhishek in their home, by reading the Rudrashtakam Stotram.
